Solidarity Page Greece
Dear friends,(this is my personal reaction and thoughts on what is happening in Greece) My
intention is not to full your mail box with spam. that's why you
haven't received almost anything from me related to the situation in
Greece so far. Also I believe that every one has to be interested
him/herself and not be forced by the others. But
now these last days I think that it is more than obvious the purpose of
the governments in all levels (national, european and international) so
we need to build strong alliances among us and don't leave ourselves to
be influenced by the mass media. As a greek poster says "the fear has
changed block".
we
are not those who live in the fear, the governments start to take our
positions and that's why they attack with all the means they have
against us who finally we manage to go out in the streets and stand for
our basic rights not only through nice wording texts but with our way
of life as well. Greece is the first in the row. As you see Portugal,
Italy are following and other countries are after them. we are the
experiment. this is obvious. I received some phone calls asking if Athens is safe city I would like to share with you the videos bellow. If
you watched them carefully you will realise that it's not the
demonstrators who are responsible for the catastrophe but this is a
well organised plan to send the people back to their nests and keep
them under the fear of loosing the job, the house, the car, to create
the illusion that
if you obey and don't stand for your rights you will live. No this is
not true because the cuts, the measures are for all of us, for
everybody no matter if he/she is still in the nest or not. this is the end of democracy. the
media in Greece were mentioning it many months ago saying that the
postdictatorship period is finishing and new period (read:political
system) is starting now. a
yesterday very important new, connecting to the governmental effort of
changing the political system, is that the port police of Piraeus
stopped the ship for Gaza which tried to start the trip to Palestine in
memorial of the Israeli attack one year before and forced it to return
to the port. the official reason was that the ship was not safe. and
this is an indication of where this country (Greece) goes (according to
my opinion of course). Also
in the parliament the members of pasok accuse the leftist MPs that they
support and moreover are the organisers of all this protests and
movements and ask indirectly of course to seclude them!!!!!! is the money the main issue for us? thanks a lot for reading mehttp://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-13957712?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitterhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SiA2vLn_Twhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-QAhMJtUI0&feature=youtu.be |
